Expeditions: Base Camp Upgrades
A significant innovation in Expeditions compared to its predecessors is the introduction of the Base Camp. This new feature acts as a strategic hub where players can plan their missions and fine-tune their vehicle setups before embarking on adventures. The Base Camp can be enhanced with additional buildings and amenities, offering long-term advantages and serving as a gathering place for the game’s new non-playable characters (NPCs).
Embracing the Expertise of Specialists
In Expeditions, the game enriches its world with non-playable characters, such as researchers, who not only bring diverse insights to your missions but also come with their own unique stories. These specialists provide valuable benefits, such as reducing water damage to vehicles, amplifying the effectiveness of your equipment, among other advantages. While the full range of available researchers and the specific perks they offer depending on the environment remains to be fully disclosed, this element introduces a fresh and complex layer to the game’s strategy. Even if the personalities of these NPCs don’t leave a lasting impression, their contributions to your expedition’s success add depth and strategic considerations, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
I’m optimistic, but a little disappointed as it appears that the transmission system has not been improved.
