Norrland Yimir v1.0.0
Created originally in the Soviet Union, this unique looking truck was purchased by the Norrland corporation out of Scandinavia for their own private use. The intention was to use it as a prototype test platform, where they could put any vehicle addon module that they wanted to perform test on or with in the most remote of places. This project proved to be successful enough that the Norrland Heavy Industries RnD Division put out a contract to build a small batch of such trucks for extended use or sale to other organisations. That is how you can get your hands on one, regardless of which region you find yourself in.
Gameplay:
This heavy offroad truck has a relatively narrow track width, high ground clearance and consequently center of mass, which makes it quite tippy, especially over significant obstacles. It’s not designed to crawl over rocks. However, it more than makes up for that with it’s performance in softer terrain (mud/swamps), where it can server as a heavy scout, recovery/service vehicle or cargo truck. The rear steer may take some time getting used to and users should take care when driving at high speeds, as a small flick of the steering wheel can lead to a major accident.
Custom addon functionality doesn’t work in the game yet (PoweredConstraints / external ui stuff), so custom the radar addon isn’t available at this time.
