If you’re yearning to explore the vast world at your leisure, free from the constraints of expeditions or collaboration with other researchers, there’s good news: a Free-roam mode is available. However, as detailed by PC Gamer, this mode becomes accessible only after completing the main expeditions on each map. This arrangement isn’t too much of a setback, as it allows you to become acquainted with each area’s layout and features before venturing solo in Free-roam, providing ample opportunity for exploration.

Following the game’s release, those looking forward to sharing the adventure with friends will have something to look forward to. Initially, Expeditions will not include co-op support, but a subsequent free update will introduce this feature, enabling up to four players to join forces in the wilderness.
